7 Steps to take in case of burns or hot water
- Get out to a safer place.
- Get emergency help if the injury is severe.
- Meanwhile, the primary method to reduce the severity of the wound is by watering the wound area with cold water/normal tap water—for at least 20 minutes. You can also use a clean wet cloth to cover the wound area. Ice is recommended as it does not help the healing process. Then wrap the wound area with a sterile bandage. Wait for help from a skilled party.
- Never wipe other materials as mentioned above.
- Do not burst the blister because studies show that the risk of infection is accelerating.
- Take painkillers such as paracetamol to reduce pain
- If the pain persists and the wound is severe, immediately go to the clinic for treatment
